Week Nine - Final Meeting

In the final week before our deadline on the 3rd of January, Anastajia and I met online via Google Meet with Sara, Veronika and Marta to discuss certain concerns of ours regarding the editing process as well as some of the audio for our scenes.

Carmen had attempted to upload what she had edited so far onto the shared Google Drive folder however Anastajia had shared in the meeting that she had been having trouble whilst trying to download her files and footage which was delaying her. To resolve this, Ana said that she would contact Carmen personally to attempt to send the content directly to her.

Marta and Veronika also pointed out that there were particular details with the sound in the film that they had essentially put there as a placeholder but needed to replace, such as the sound of the bathroom sinks tap dripping, when really it is shown running at full speed. The girls said that to resolve this they would send the audio they wanted to use into the Google Drive folder to be replaced.

Anastajia and I realised that we had not managed to re-record voiceovers for Joanna's dialogue or the television interview dialogue before our whole crew, including sound technicians, had left the country so we did not have any audio apart from audio on set for Joanna. We realised that our sound techs would not be back in the country until after our deadline so I suggested that we could possibly replace any missing dialogue with Joe's own voice. I believed that this would make sense as Joanna was not supposed to be real throughout the film, rather a creation of Joe's mind simply based off her real neighbour as a coping mechanism for her struggles career-wise. Therefore, having Joanna be a representation of Joe's own internal monologue through the use of Joe voicing her seemed like the easiest solution to this issue, especially because Anastajia is in close contact with Fluer, our actress for Joe, meaning she could ask her to record this dialogue and send it to her to edit in.
