Week Six - Beginning of Editing/Essay Deadline

This week I personally struggled a considerable amount as I was behind on my critical perspectives in media essay. This paired with the fact that it was the deadline week for the essay meant that I needed to prioritise my essay more than beginning the editing process for our film.

It had originally been planned that I would join Carmen with editing alongside her at her own apartment with her dual monitor setup. However, around half way through this week Carmen tested positive for Coronavirus which then lead to her isolating at her apartment before leaving for her home country once she had tested negative. Therefore, I did not have access to the raw footage from our filming days and was still yet to complete my essay and this stage, complicating my ability to help with the editing. Ananstajia had some of the footage from filming and knew what she wanted visually to come of her dream scene concept so from here the editing process was handed over to just Carmen and Anastajia.

I do wish that I had managed my time better so that I could have helped with the editing process as I believed that the ideas we had for the final film were slightly out of my editing skills however, I was looking forward to working with Carmen on it and pushing myself to learn new things.
